JAWA YEZDI 350
JAWA 350. Finest engine made in india . Its powered with a double cylinder parallel twin 350cc air cooled engine . A compitetor of yamaha rd 350. Very few bikes were manufactured and sold in india , main cause was increasing petrol prices and entry of japaneese company to indian market like HONDA which are providing fuel effecient bikes . Which leads to shutdown of the company jawa in india . .
This bike has only one carb as compare to RD 350 which gots 2 for each cylinder. The CB point ignition of this bike was somewhat a hassle to mechanics , regulating the timinig was a art in itself . Bike has a peak torque of nearly 30 bhp and a smooth drive . RPM meter was a another feature in YEZDI 350 as compared to other models . The sound notes of this bike was remarkable its a music to its lovers .

YEZDI SEMI AUTO CLUTCH
The bike was featured with a unique and different feature of semiauto clutch . The only indian bike till now having this feature.
SEMI AUTO CLUTCH ??
This unique feature was altered through the gear shifting lever of this bike.A cam inside the gearbox automatically activates the clutch on other side. There is no need of pressing the clutch lever while shifting the gears up or down . when to move bike in first gear just pull the gear lever up firmly with your feet and holds on their, now slowly starts releasing the lever and u will see the bike will move slowly as we releases the clutch . NOTE it needs practice for time .
During shifting gears no need to depress the clutch it will go smoothly by just pushing the lever downward. After 4th gear you can use the gear lever as a clutch now by pressing it downward . This special feature helps hassle free riding in traffic speciallly in india . Even your clutch cable snapped out during city ride or long routes you will drive home safely . It needs some practice after its just a different feel of riding without clutch .

MICARB ON YEZDI
REGULAR PROBLEMS FACED BY YEZDI OWNERS
These bikes are having some regular problems which were faced by mostly its every owner , problems are not very much complicated if we owns a screwdriver , and some tactics. .. . we will be discussing some problems with their solution . .. .. . .
The problem which is headache for all is its starting problem . . once we starts gettin this problem it get to your nerves , and sometimes you have to sale ur bike for this. CAUSES# major case is timining overlapp . as we know old yezdi models are based on cb point ignition .which needs to be timed properly once timing gets disturbed its difficult to attain the same but u can do it urself too. . open the right side of ur engine block of ur bike .. u will see alternator placed with a timing set on it , now open the spark plug , so that u can easily rotate the crankshaft with ur hands on cam. . .now come to alternator . there will be cam in between this alternator which opens and closes the mouth or gaps in between the points , u can rotate the cam slowly and can see how it works when the points are far beyond from each other means the the mouth is wide open throughly at this time the current is flowing through the coils and spark plug . and your piston position must be upward towards spark plug fully , u can check this by holding a small piece of any thing like long screw and slowly inserting it in the bore from spark plug hole , place the screw at the upper most position , with other hand slowly rotates the cam and check when piston comes up fully the gap between the points must be wide open if it opens when the piston is in between or dowm means ur timining is overlapping . how to adjust it. . u can see the setting screws both side of the point plate . move them close or far according to your piston situation . . if the adjusting screws are not helping ur can rotate the alternator from its holding points . . ur point faces must be wide fully whe the piston is up . . and it must closes when it came down which leds to shortcircut and current flow stops when the points faces closes . . .rune ur bike this way , it needs lots of practice but can be done with coursre of time . . . another problems willll be discussed in our next posts . .HAPPY RIDING

My yezdi monarch . .the bike was in original condition with ll accessories and engine parts . . tyres also . i got this bike from my fathers friend who got it in his marriage . they all went abraod after marriage and the bike was left in their old village house . . one day i accompanied my father to meet him as he came from canada after 18 years. i found this bike standing in his garage in dusty and unmantle condition , so he gave me this bike as a present , this is the treasure i holds in my collection. MONARCH production ended very soon very few bikes are sold in all over india due to losses to company because of japanesse company like honda enters the indian market in nearly in 82 , so the increasing petrol prices and low average by all yezdi bike models . leads to the end of this beautiful machines
